Terms and Conditions

Ramdung Expedition Pvt. Ltd is trustworthy and incorporated company under the law of Nepal Government (Registered company no. 59913/065/066). Before booking any trip with us, we kindly request mountaineers, trekkers, travelers and adventure enthusiast to go through the following Terms and Conditions that governs the relationship between you (client) and Ramdung Expedition Pvt. Ltd. Participation in our program means that you fully accept these terms and conditions.

A ‘trip’ refers to any service/product itinerary or activities that you buy with us including expedition, trekking, tours or any adventure activities taken.

For booking, we’ll send the booking form. After filling, it shall be return to us. Along with the form, we’ll request you to deposit 25% amount from total trip cost in our account and provide with scan passport copy. This will be confirmation of your trip and departure.

You can pay remaining amount upon your arrival in Kathmandu and before the trip departure. We also accept travel check, credit Card (Visa or MasterCard). There is 4% surcharge when the payment is made by cards.

The deposit and remaining payment can be paid through bank account and bank service charge is to be paid by clients themselves at the time of deposit.

Deposit to be paid at least 2 months before the departure date.
20% of the deposit is refundable up to 3 week before the start of the trip, which is also the date by which the remainder of the remaining money must be paid in full. Thereafter, no money is to be refunded except on cancellation of the trip by Ramdung Expedition Pvt. Ltd in which refund will made full.

We advise all participants to take regular exercise, necessary trainings and gain related experience before trip. In booking time, you must write us notifying if any medical, mental or physical illness which may affect fitness to travel. Also we strongly advise against joining a trip, if you have recently suffer from severe heart, chest, muscular or respiratory disorder, severe asthmatic or have high blood pressure.

Medical service vary from country to country therefore company do not warranties in standard of such facilities. But we ensure you that we’ll do our best in relation to your health while you are in Nepal.

We highly recommend having travel insurance which covers all the risk such as theft, personal accident, personal liability, medical expenses, baggage and covering any expenditure incurred by rescue helicopter. A copy of insurance covered must be send to us.

All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or directly upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Multiple entry tourist visas can be obtained by paying US$ 25 for 15 days, US$ 40 for 30 days or US$ 100 for 90 days.

Clients travelling to Tibet requires valid Tibet visa, Ramdung expedition will secure Tibetan visa here in Kathmandu.

We shall not be responsibly if you are refused to enter a country or places cause of lacking your correct visa documentation.

Clients shall agree that Ramdung shall not be held responsible for consequences of natural calamities, weather condition, failure of scheduled airline, detention and delays due to quarantine, strike, theft, force major, civil disturbance, government restriction or regulation, accident by aircraft, car, bus or any other form of transport relating to program schedule. The trekkers/travelers understand that such situations may occur, and we will inform you of the situation as soon as we have knowledge of it.

The itinerary highlights and excursions as set out in the itineraries will be followed as far as possible, but these are a guide only. The company or trek staff may make omissions or alterations to the program as they deem it to be necessary. Ramdung Expedition and our tour leader reserve the right to do so. Changes may be made because of weather condition, flight cancellations, sickness or other unpredicted circumstances.

General items not included in cost of trip (unless specifically mentioned):

• Passport, visa charges, international flight, airport departure taxes in Nepal
• Personal items – laundry, postage, personal expenses, and medical expenses on trip.
• Emergency evacuation charges
• Excess baggage charges
• Personal travel insurance
• Early departure from the Expedition

Once the trip is sold, Ramdung Expedition company can accepts amendment in trip program minimum more than 20 days before start of the trip. In case of outside Nepal trips, we need minimum more than 30 days.

The cost of amendment is to be made by clients depending upon company’s arrangements with other parties such as hotel, airlines or ground operators etc.

Ramdung Expedition will not refund money back for the service un-used or missed which are mentioned and agreed in the purchased trip. This includes voluntary/involuntary termination/departure from tour, i.e. sickness, death of a family member etc, late arrival on the tour, or premature departure either voluntarily or involuntarily.

Both party (clients & Ramdung Company) agrees to protect the confidentiality of each other. We use your email and personal details solely for the purpose of processing your inquiries operating your trip and keep in contact messages for future.

Ramdung Expedition can use images you have taken during the trip without any compensation for publicity and promotion through whatever medium. 

We do not sell or share your personal details, photos with anyone.
